As an herbal remedy, Comvita Propolis Elixir has an antiviral and antibacterial formula that helps to fight colds and flu.
These herbal vitamins originate in the unspoilt areas of New Zealand and South America where the deciduous trees produce protective resin, which is then gathered by honey bees. The bees mix this resin with beeswax and enzymes to produce Propolis. Propolis is used by bees to sterilise and seal their hive, in turn protecting it against bacterial-, viral- and fungal infections. Propolis is used widely as herbal medicine for flu prevention and is a great “all rounder” for fighting winter ailments.
Comvita Propolis Elixir contains Manuka honey as well as bioflavonoids, which supports the human body’s own immune system at a cellular level. Propolis not only works as an herbal remedy for many common colds, it is also reported to maintain a healthy heart.
Comvita Propolis Elixir is suitable for adults, but should not be given to children younger than two without a medical professional’s advice.
