Mumomega Eye Q capsules have been specially formulated for use by women prior, during and subsequent to pregnancy. This organic product contains a range of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that are important for the health of both mother and growing baby throughout the nine month gestation period, and thereafter during lactation and breastfeeding.
Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids may have the following benefits during pregnancy:
• It helps to build the brain, form the retinas and develop the nervous system of the foetus.
• It reduces the mother’s risk for preeclampsia, postpartum depression and preterm labour.
• It decreases the potential need for a caesarean birth
• It reduces the risk of delivering a baby with a low birth weight.
• It may influence a child’s attention span and visual acuity later in life.
• It may play a role in reducing the risk for behavioural problems later in life.
• It may make the child less prone to breast and prostate cancer later in life.
This fatty acid supplement is available in both liquid- and capsule form.
NOTE: It is not advised to take this pregnancy supplement if you are simultaneously taking blood thinners (anticoagulants).
