The weaning of a baby from breast milk or formula onto solid foods can be a difficult task. Baby’s body needs to become accustomed to digesting solid foods, so an easily digestible food should be given during the first few weeks of weaning.
Hipp Organic Baby Rice (Stage 1) is made from only pure, 100% organic rice flakes. These flakes can be mixed with infant formula or baby’s usual milk to create a smooth, mild blend suitable for first stage feedings; or it can be mixed with pureed fruits or vegetables for added taste and improved nutritional value. This rice can be used from the very beginning of the weaning process. Simply mix one teaspoon of the rice flakes with one tablespoon of baby’s usual milk and stir to an even consistency. As baby becomes used to the solid foods, increase the amount of rice flakes used in the mixture. Age and appetite are also important things to consider when feeding baby.
