Manuka Honey is produced by the New Zealand Company Manuka Health from a unique New Zealand plant Leptospermum scoparium. Manuka honey has significant health benefits for your body, such as aiding the recovery from sore throats, wounds, stomach ulcers and colds & flu. Burns and cracked skin can also be aided by this product.
It is this useful because it has anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties
The UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) of Manuka honey can vary from 5+, 10+, 20+ and beyond. UMF refers to the level of antibacterial activity inherent the honey. The higher the UMF, the greater the honey’s antibacterial properties. Manuka Health Manuka Honey contains UMF (not all manuka honeys necessarily do). This product is available in various levels of UMF and different sized jars. The UMF index is now measured as MGO (Methylglyoxal).
